Jian Ghomeshi and Q radio have traveled this fine nation broadcasting live from its corners.
Now, with the start of a London Ontario tweet by Ian Gifford, Q is looking within. Ontario for now, but within.
As Jian had responded with a reply of intrigue, so the contest began.
Here are the details:
Kingston, Hamilton, Brantford, London, and Guelph are all competing to have Q with Jian Ghomeshi broadcast LIVE from their city.
The city with the most impressive campaign will be selected as winner. That winner will be announced live on air December 8th as Q wraps up their 2011 season.
The city chosen (Guelph obviously) will have Q broadcast in mid February.
I, The Rob Campbell, have decided that our beloved Guelph is up for this challenge.
You can visit our Facebook Fan Page Bring Q to Guelph and click the “LIKE” button at the top of the page to show your support.
What we need: public awareness, arts and culture support, local business support, charitable donations, and ticket sales when the venue is selected.
ALL proceeds from this campaign will go to charity. All.
I do not have any financial interest in this event. I just think know that we can bring it to The Royal City!
Guelph, we can do this. We are bursting with Arts and Culture.
We. Are. Awesome. Guelphtastic even.
Please share this post with all of you peers in the area so that we can spread the word.
Tweet it using the #guelphforghomeshi hashtag.
Share the page on FB with your freinds.
Email it even.
We have 1 1/2 weeks.
Great Idea…Guelph should get Q. Lots of loyal followers in this city.
Recommend KidsAbility as the charity of choice – great organization helping kids be the best they can be. KidsAbility breaks down barriers for kids and youth with special needs. Q breaks down barriers in his interviews every day! Great FIT
